Statesville, NC
Open to the public
Golf. Reimagined.
The 500 Club started life as a traditional golf course in the hills above Lake Norman. Good holes, good people, and a clubhouse that closed when the last group came in.
We kept the golf and reimagined everything around it. An 18-hole putting course with race cars in the bunkers. A pitch-and-putt in the woods where old stock cars come to rest. Simulators, a driving range, and a sports bar where the garage doors roll up and the whole room opens onto the course.
All of it open to the public. No membership required, no dress code and no reason to drive past.
Statesville sits in the heart of NASCAR country, and it shows.
A par 72 championship course that stretches to 6,822 yards from the Yellow tees, with a 135 slope to keep the good players honest.
The Short Track and The Graveyard put putters and wedges in the hands of people who have never swung a club. Race cars included.
Victory Lane and The Turn Bar keep the day going long after the last putt drops. Every game on every screen, and the kitchen stays open late.
Golf has a reputation for keeping people out. We would rather let everyone in. Members and the public play the same course, eat at the same bar and settle the same arguments on the eighteenth green.
Whether you are chasing a handicap or just chasing your kids around the putting course, this is your club too.
