Dress Code
Men & Boys: Collared or golf appropriate shirts required. No tee shirts, tank tops, denim jeans, sweatpants, cut-offs, swimwear, or short shorts.
Women & Girls: Golf appropriate shorts, pants, skirts and athleisure wear. No denim jeans, swimwear or short shorts.
General
- The Golf Course Superintendent is authorized to determine when the course is suitable for play. Course maintenance must often continue during hours of play. Please be understanding when it occurs.
- The Director of Golf and Pro Shop staff supervise all play and use of the golf course, practice range, and putting green.
- Golfers shall be responsible for property damage and injuries caused by errant golf.
- The 500 Club is a play at your own risk facility.
- Fishing or swimming in the lakes is prohibited.
- Strolling/Jogging on the course is prohibited.
- Pets on the course is prohibited.
- Food and beverages must be purchased from the Club or from the beverage cart. No outside coolers or food and beverages are allowed.
- Only golf staff are allowed in the golf cart storage area.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required to rent a golf cart.
- Abusive language, threats and acts of violence will not be tolerated and could be cause for immediate removal from property.
Playing Regulations
- Starting times are required for all play. Every player must check in with the Golf Pro Shop prior to play.
- All golfers must report at least 15 minutes before their scheduled tee time. Those failing to do so may forfeit their reserved time and may be required to wait for the next open time slot.
- No more than four players are allowed to play together at any time.
- Each player must play out of their own bag and golf clubs. Rental Clubs are available.
- Purchase of a greens fee and/or cart fee is for one (1) round of golf. Additional holes may be played with the purchase of a supplemental fee.
- All carts must stay on paths around tees and greens.
- Golfers are required to use reasonable care to avoid injuring other golfers or damaging property due to errant golf balls.
- Driving golf balls outside the bounds of the golf course is prohibited.
- On Mondays, the course is closed for maintenance until 11am.
- Golfers are highly encouraged to lock their vehicles and secure their belongings out of sight to discourage crimes of opportunity.
- Spectators are allowed as long as there are sufficient carts available, and a cart rental fee is paid.
Tee Times
- Players should be on the tee at their designated time. Failure to do so will mean forfeiture of tee position. A new starting time must be arranged with the golf shop.
- Play shall start no earlier than the registered tee time.
- All play shall commence only from the first hole, unless authorized by General Manager/Golf Professional and Head Superintendent/Greenskeeper.
- Starting on holes other than #1 will be allowed only after weather delays, during shotgun tournaments, during aerifying or on approval of the General Manager/Golf Professional and Head Superintendent/Greenskeeper. Scheduling “Back 9 Starts” or “Double Tee Starts” are allowed with approval from the Board of Directors.
- If it is necessary to cancel a starting time, please notify the golf shop as soon as possible.
Juniors
- Junior Golfers are defined as anyone under the age of 16 and shall be allowed to play at
anytime with an accompanying adult.
- Only Non-Accompanied Junior Members shall be allowed to walk the course.
Handicap Flags
- The golf course is ADA accessible and handicap flags are available at the Golf Shop upon
request.
- Blue Flags are used to identify those who have obtained applicable permission and only allow parking in restricted areas that are no closer than 15 yards to Greens and Tees.
- Flags restriction can be recommended by Director of Golf or Superintendent due to adverse weather conditions. The Director of Golf has final decision on availability.
Golf Play Etiquette
- Golfers are encouraged to play at a moderate pace (4 hours and 9 minutes).
- Golfers must keep pace with the group in front of them all the way around the course. Slow
players should allow faster players to play through.
- If a hole is open in front and you are holding up play for the group behind, let the group behind
play through or skip the hole and catch up with the group ahead.
- Play ready golf - play your ball when ready regardless of being away after checking with other
players. This includes honors on tee shots.
- Exercise a 3-minute limit searching for lost ball. Drop and play on.
- Write down scores on next tee box - not while on the green.
- After completing the hole, move immediately to next tee - no practice putting.
- Be ready when it is your turn. Think about your shot and club selection while another player is
hitting. Line up your putt while someone else is putting.
- Rake bunkers and place rake outside the bunker.
- Fill all divots using sand bottle on golf cart.
- Repair all ball marks on the greens.
Members
- Members do not pay greens fees, only cart fees.
- Members receive a discount on Pro Shop merchandise.
- Members receive 14-days advance tee time reservations.
Member-Guests
- Members may bring up to three guests at a time.
- Member-guests may receive a 10% discount no more than 6 times per year no matter which Member they play with.
Golf Carts
- Cart rental fees are established by The 500 Club and are subject to change at any time.
- No more than two people may ride in a cart, and golf bags shall be limited to two bags per cart.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required to rent a golf cart.
- Drivers are responsible for any damage to carts. All cart or property damage must be reported to the golf shop.
- Carts must be kept at least 20 yards away from greens and tees, and at least 30 feet away from
sand bunkers, when not on paved cart paths.
- Pull carts are not allowed on course without prior approval from the Director of Golf.
- It is the responsibility of every golfer to be familiar and comply with the rules and regulations
covering the use and operation of golf carts. Failure to observe such rules and regulations
could result in the denial of golf cart use and/or playing privileges.
- No private carts on the course.
Reporting Incidents / Accidents
- If injury, incident or accident occurs, the golfer should notify the Pro Shop Staff who will then file an incident/accident report.
- If an incident involves a golfer and the golfer’s privileges of golf play is terminated, an incident report must be completed.
- In the event someone is removed from a course for any reason, an incident report will be filed by the Director of Golf.
- If any illegal action is found to occur, the Police Department shall be notified immediately. (Please see incident report)
Green Fees, Cart Rental and Practice Facility Fees
- Golf fees and charges are determined by the Director of Golf with approval from Owners of The500 Club.
- These recommendations are submitted to the Owners of The 500 Club for review and approval. After approval, all golf fees and charges must fall within the ranges set forth in the adopted fee schedule.
- The 500 Club shall retain the right to change any and all schedules for green fees, tournaments, leagues and Golf Club fee agreements.
